Panorama - BERLINALE

Kick'n Rush - by Lise Korsgaard

Director: Aage Rais-Nordentoft
Screenplay: Jesper Wung-Sung and Aage Rais-Nordentoft
Appearances: Jacob Oliver Krarup, Cyros B. Melville, Esben Smed and Marie Bach Hansen

Director Aage Rais-Nordentoft takes us to the danish surburb Lystrup, where we meet Jacob (Jacob Oliver Krarup), Mikkel (Esben Smed) and Bo (Cyros B. Melville) - three boys in highschool on their way to become men. They all play on Jacobs dads footballteam “Lystrup United”, where Bo (“Beckham”) is the shooting star.

The three boys are best friends, but their friendship is putted to the test, when envy, new friends, Mathilde (Marie Bach Hansen) and other girls become a part of their lifes. The test isn’t passed without problems, and nothing will ever be like it used to, when the film stops and we leave the boys - they have all learned something about the seriousness of life.

This all happens in a very funny and warm movie, telling us the story about four young people who reminds us of every young people we know.
